A further nine new 13.4 m SDC box trailers from TIP Trailer Services are about to enter service within the trailer fleet at Clipper Logistics plc and will be shortly operating on one of the company’s existing long-term contracts throughout the UK.

Acquired on a 5 year-year lease from TIP, these additional trailers all feature the striking Clipper livery and specifically meet the high security requirements of an expanding customer contract.

“TIP has been a supplier to Clipper Logistics for some time, mainly on short term rental trailers. Our perception of TIP changed recently when they came into their own during the time when we needed 15 fleet trailers very quickly for a longer term contract. Their ability to source and supply these trailers within a very short lead time was exceptional. This quick thinking and turnaround has led us to using TIP once again for this latest nine trailer contract, which also demanded a really short lead time to be operational,” said Richard Ball, senior transport director at Clipper Logistics.
