After 15 years absence, Fruehauf Limited has re-entered the Platform trailer market with a completely redesigned model. Available in straight Platform or PSK variants and with or without sockets and stanchions, Fruehauf has a model for most applications.
Fruehauf’s Sales Manager Karl Spooner explains: “We have invested a massive amount of both money and time in designing and developing our all new platform model, including the instillation of a new production line and paint facility at our Grantham Manufacturing plant.”
Fruehauf went back to the drawing board when designing the new model, with input from end users, after all…… who better to take advice from?
The pictured trailer was ordered by MDF Transport in Great Yarmouth and weighed in at an impressive 6,930kgs.
Mark Farrow, Managing Director at MDF was a big user of the Fruehauf Platform until Fruehauf withdrew from the market in 2004.
Mark added: “In recent years Fruehauf has become renowned for producing the best tipping trailer on the market, but go back a few years they were known for producing the best trailer in the market. Having worked closely with the engineers and the production team on this trailer, I am very impressed with the result and look forward to sending it out to work.”
Fruehauf has streamlined the production of the new platform. Yhey don’t have an endless list of options as previous. Starting with the base platform model, the customer chooses packages such as the twistlock package, the deck lashing package or the sockets / stanchions package…. or any combination to build their own bespoke model.
