CheckedSafe, a company providing apps to facilitate the compliance checks required by DVSA and FORS, is one of the latest companies to become a FORS Associate. FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, now boasts over 85 Associates, many of whom provide offers and discounts exclusively for FORS members.
The CheckedSafe DVSA Vehicle compliance App digitises the vehicle defect card by allowing drivers to complete a daily driver walk around check, a first user check or a vehicle pre-use check from a smart phone or tablet. Previously, all checks had to be completed manually, but the Vehicle compliance App ensures that the checks are simple, easy to complete and all defects are reported in real time. No more waiting around for paper cards.

The App allows the driver to speed up the process of carrying out an inspection and submit the results in real time. Drivers can also add detailed notes or take pictures of faults and the actions they took to correct them. Once the check is completed, the report is sent and viewable on the Checkedsafe Workforce Management (CWM) suite.

Designed originally for Android and Apple smartphones, the Checkedsafe app also runs on Android tablets and iPads. The App uses the mobile device’s motion sensors to track the driver’s movements as they undertake the check, which ensures that the check is being accurately completed and you can see the driver moving around the vehicle. Once data is recorded on the Checkedsafe App, it cannot be altered in any way as it is a fully secured service.

CheckedSafe is offering FORS members a 10% discount on the cost of its apps and software to help staying compliant simple. FORS Associates, provide members with discounted products and services, alongside a raft of further benefits that come with FORS accreditation.
