Leading independent logistics operator Europa Worldwide Group is planning to double the number of Account Managers in its Road division by the end of 2018, as the business prepares to sustain its exceptional sales growth from the previous 12 months.
Europa Road has 11 local branches throughout the UK which are all linked to its headquarters, 1hub, in Dartford via scheduled, daily, round-trip trunking to Europe. Each of these branches in Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Northampton, Southampton, Dartford, Heathrow, Glasgow and Newcastle will see new, talented and passionate Account Managers join them this year to further improve efficiency, transit times and customer service.
In total, the business aims to recruit 20 Account Managers in 2018, taking its total to 42.
Branch Network and Sales Director at Europa Worldwide Group, Dionne Redpath, said 2018 was set to be one of her team’s most ambitious and successful years yet.
She said: “We had an extremely buoyant 2017, with consignment growth running at 25 per cent across the board and our turnover surpassing £140m. This immense success has set a benchmark for us to continue to excel in 2018 and to sustain our very healthy growth trajectory.
“To do this, we need to attract the best people into our branches and we’re looking for talented and passionate Account Managers to join our fun but focussed team. Our goal of doubling our ranks for these crucial roles by the end of this year will stand us in excellent stead to smash our targets across all our branches.”
Dionne added that the business had already employed four new Account Managers towards the end of 2017, with five new starters also joining the team this month.
She said: “We’re started as we mean to go on by launching our recruitment drive before the year had even begun, and our new Account Managers are shining already! The challenge for us is to find exactly the right people for the specific role at our various branches, with vision and personality that fit with our brand. We’re keen to promote internally as well wherever appropriate and we invest a lot of time in nurturing and training our staff to this end. I’m looking forward to realising the results of that investment as we move through the first quarter of 2018. These are very exciting times!”
