Leading truck manufacturer Isuzu Truck UK has continued with the ongoing development of its UK dealer network with the recent appointment of Cartwright Fleet Services as full sales, service and parts dealers based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Announcing details of the new appointment, Pete Murphy, managing director at Isuzu Truck UK said, “Leeds is a key area for us as it is positioned at the centre of a strategic motorway network, with a strong Isuzu truck population. The appointment of such an experienced provider as Cartwright Fleet Services as our dealer for Leeds will ensure that we maximise the potential for the Isuzu brand in such an important geographic location.”
The partnership with Isuzu is part of big plans that Cartwright Fleet Services has for the site in Leeds as they have made a seven-figure investment at the five-acre site. Up to 30 new jobs have been created and the company expects to add another 20 soon as the business develops.

Taking over the Isuzu dealership will enable CFS to offer complete sales and aftersales services for Isuzu’s full range of commercial vehicles from 3.5 to 12 tonnes. The on-site facilities will also allow it to offer a range of commercial vehicle services including inspections, MOTs, repair & maintenance, and new vehicle deliveries to support its own operations as well as other Cartwright Group companies.
The new facility has significant room for expansion with plans for the workshop, currently comprising seven bays, to be extended with six additional bays in early 2017 to support further growth. The company is also investing around £200,000 to introduce an on-site Authorised Testing Facility (ATF).
Lawrence Todd, Director of Fleet Services at CFS, said: “This is a significant investment that is enhancing our own capabilities and service offering to meet rapidly increasing demand from customers. As part of the growing relationship with Isuzu Truck UK, we will of course be able to supply and support the complete range of their popular trucks in a key market region.”
